Duke Ellington Sacred Concert

The American musician Duke Ellington was one of the most important musicians and composers in the history of jazz. Throughout his career, which started in 1965, he wrote three sacred concerts for big band, chorus and solo voices.

The Offcourse Big Band, along with the San Marino Choir conducted by Fausto Giacomini, brought to the public of Titano Theatre in San Marino Duke Ellington’s sacred concerts, performing 10 songs including “Praise God” and “Heaven”, which represent the spiritual legacy of the American artist.

The evening was enhanced by the voice of Sarah Jane Ghiotti.
